Voluntary Water Conservation Enacted
The outdoor watering restrictions put in place during last summer's drought are being eased in the wake of early spring rains. The City is reverting to Stage One of its Water Conservation Plan, which calls for voluntary water conservation. Customers' outdoor watering will not be restricted to any specific days of the week, but customers are asked to be prudent with their watering and voluntarily conserve wherever possible.
Last summer's drought highlighted the need for conservation, especially as regards outdoor irrigation. Plants and lawns should only be watered when they really need it, and sprinkler heads should be set to ensure they are spraying the lawn; not roadways or driveways.
