About Annetta

Annetta is an incorporated municipality in east Parker County, Texas. It is located just to the west of Aledo, between Annetta North and Annetta South. As of the 2000 census, the town's population was 1,108, and its land area was 2.2 square miles.

Annetta is mostly a residential and agricultural community, and is the home of Annetta United Methodist Church and the Annetta Cemetery. As a community, Annetta has existed since the late 19th century. However, it was not until 1979 that the area was incorporated as three separate entities, which are the three Annettas. A major reason for their incorporation was the looming threat of Fort Worth annexing the area, and now that Fort Worth has begun to move its city limits westward into Parker County, this original purpose is remembered.

The town is in the 76008 ZIP code, and is in the Aledo Independent School District, an Exemplary District.
